/I need to simplify my digital files_

I have too many digital files and folders scattered across several devices and the internet cloud. Following the recent passing of my father, I have started to take a look at some of the difficulties my family will have trying to locate all of my digital assets once I am gone.

So, between now and the end of 2020, I will spend time auditing my digital life with a view to bringing all of my digital files and folders together into one central archive. There are two cloud based storage options that I will be using for this project.

For the bulk of my files, things like photos, videos and less secure documents, I will be using a service based in Norway called Jottacloud. They offer an unlimited secure storage package that is very affordable.

For more sensitive documents that require the most reliable and secure cloud-based storage, I will be using Internxt, a company based in Spain. I will be using Internxt for things like my financial information, all of my passwords, recovery codes, and a place where my family will be able to find my last will & testament.

I have been using the internet for over 25 years. Some of my digital footprints will be forgotten, but most of them will be out there forever. I hope that I will make it easier for my son and future generations of my family to have an insight into my life.
