It’s time for me to get back on track with my long term health goals. I’ve been watching the documentary Fasting again, the message it tells me is that all I need to do is synchronise my internal organs circadian rhythm with the day/night cycle of the planet.

So, I have decided to use the 18-6 schedule, that is eighteen hours of fasting with a six-hour “feeding” window. I think that my feeding window should be from 1300 to 1900 each day, eating two meals within that time frame (with only one cup of coffee at the start of the period).

I’m not going to weigh myself. Instead, I am going to listen to my body and feel what’s going on.

The first couple of weeks will be an adjustment period; I hope that with a little determination, I will be able to establish this routine quickly. I will make adjustments to the feeding period as the year goes on, especially when we get into the winter and its shorter days.
